Bonding over broth

Fun, intimate, creative, and communal, hot pot is the ancient cookery method of rapidly poaching bite-size morsels in a tabletop broth, turning a meal into a magical event where everyone becomes best friends by the night’s end. Everyone Hot Pot, a passion project from four-time James Beard Award finalist and author of More Than Cake Natasha Pickowicz, includes more than fifty recipes for broths, sauces, dumplings, sides, desserts, and drinks; a guide to the essential hot pot ingredients and equipment; and four themed hot pot menus. Give this millennia-old tradition your personal spin—all the inspiration you need is right here.

  • At its heart, hot pot is an invitation to eat together—generously, warmly, and raucously! This feeling of intimate togetherness and conviviality is vividly captured on every page of Everyone Hot Pot

  • It’s rare for a cookbook to unlock a new chapter in something so ancient; this one does, with generosity. Natasha Pickowicz widens the circle of what hot pot can mean: gathering made artful and cooking brought to life as communal play.”
