What delights you? A vibrant red? A mysterious blue? From John Derian, the artist and designer whose work with printed images from the past transports the viewer to another world, Painter’s Palette features an art student’s color study from the twentieth century, capturing that magical place where ground mineral meets water and light, imagination meets science, and the artist—and puzzle doer—experiences an “aha!” moment.

“This 1,000-piece puzzle (67cm x 47.9cm) is beautiful and stylish as well as tricky. Depicting an art student’s paint palette—a real study of colour—this is such a pleasure to work on, even if it requires plenty of patience and determination. . . . Suffice to say this is much more than a pretty face.”
