Navajo wisdom traditions were developed over many centuries, long before Europeans ever set foot in North America, but they remain uniquely relevant today. In this book, Chief Jake Singer, a Diné Navajo Medicine Man shares profound lessons through the history and folklore that have contributed to the survival of the Navajo people—as well as through his own lived experience. Topics range from the physical to the spiritual realms, and include the smoke lodge, Navajo prayer and meditation practices, traditional Native American use of herbs and plants for wellness, the Navajo approach to fitness, and much more. This book provides a wellspring of timeless knowledge and offers a fresh outlook on spirituality and intentional living. Included throughout  are candid photographs of Chief Jake performing ceremonies, of his personal medicine tools, and of Navajo ritual items, lodgings, instruments, and beadwork.
