CI: Mission Liberty

Civil war has broken out in the West African country of Liger, where violence and famine are rampant. Nearly two million people are forced into refugee camps. Accusations abound that atrocities in the region are perpetrated by both government and rebel forces, including mass executions, rapes, and mutilations. The Pentagon fears an alliance between rebels and terrorist groups will lead to more violence in neighboring countries, and send the USS Cowper and Glover to the African coast to begin Operation Liberty. David DeLuca and his elite Army Counterintelligence team must help to stabilize the region and find out who among the various groups in Liger poses the greatest threat. But as DeLuca and his team soon find out, in such a volatile environment, it’s difficult to determine friend from foe.
