Ariella Cook-Shonkoff, MFT, ATR is a licensed psychotherapist and registered art therapist. She works with children, teens, parents and adults to help cultivate authentic empowerment and emotional wellbeing, heal in the face of distress, grief and trauma, rebuild relationships with the natural world, and connect with renewed hope, purpose and creativity.  She helped to launch and served on the executive committee of the Climate Psychology Alliance North America and lives with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Salon, and Glamour
